About: Tracy is a self-professed ecopreneur and Co-Founder of Au Natural Skinfood. Tracy and her husband Tony have moved from Christchurch to establish a business to consumer market for Au Natural Skinfood in the United States. Au Natural Skinfood is an innovative new manuka honey skincare line that combats single-use plastics while feeding your skin the nutrients it needs. Since Natural Au Skinfood’s launch in 2016, Tracy has been encouraging the natural repair of the skin by using only the best ingredients sourced locally in New Zealand, ensuring all products are free of preservatives, parabens, nanoparticles, and toxic fillers. About: While Kiwi-born, Bradley spent 20 years in New Zealand, Queenstown and is now a New Zealand citizen and has a New Zealand passport. He owned a production company, Batch Film, specializing in shooting commercials for offshore companies filming in New Zealand. Bradley thought he would never leave New Zealand until love brought him back to this side of the Pacific. After some time producing here in Los Angeles, Bradley segued into commercial real estate and now works at Industry Partners, representing tenants and landlords all around Los Angeles. Bradley lives in Venice, grew up in Alaska and try to get back to New Zealand as much as possible.

About: Lita is an art critic and feminist writer. The recipient of three grants from the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council (now Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa), Lita is listed in the New Zealand Encyclopedia, and an archive of her writing is held in the New Zealand National Library. In Los Angeles she has written for Riot Material, Hyperallergic, ARTNOWLA, HuffPos, Artspace, Art Issues, and Artweek. In New Zealand she was the weekly art columnist for National Business Review and contributed to the Listener, Art New Zealand, and Landfall. Lita is the author of numerous art museum and art gallery monographs. She has also taught at Claremont Graduate University, California State University Los Angeles, Otis and Art Center.

About: Tania grew up in Remuera, and moved to California thirty year same ago. She did her 8,000-hour apprenticeship in hairdressing in Auckland, has done ongoing education at Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles, and continues to further her education in craft hairdressing. About: Garvey had the great fortune of moving to New Zealand in 1996 as part of a management team that helped open the Sky Tower in Auckland. What was supposed to be a one-year contract turned into 7+ glorious years and he eventually obtained his Kiwi citizenship. Back in the United States since 2003, Garvey is an avid fan of all things New Zealand, and can't wait to return on a full-time basis. His wife, Mika, and their two kids (Liam and Mila) are looking forward to meeting and connecting with everyone in Kiwis in LA.

About: Warwick grew up in Silverstream, Upper Hutt, and was seconded to Los Angeles in 1994 to work with a marketing organization. As a seasoned strategic marketing professional, Warwick has over 25 years of work experience with brands such as Toyota, Lexus, Nestle, Kia, Cadbury, Chubb, and Chrysler. Currently Warwick is a founding partner of a marketing agency, Small Giant, which focuses on helping companies with B2B and B2C, acquisition and retention challenges. Like many other Kiwis in Los Angeles, Warwick is always happy to connect and chat over a nice glass of New Zealand wine.
About: Mike was raised in Stratford, Taranaki, before attending Massey University. He moved to the United Kingdom before migrating to the warmer climate of Long Beach in 2000. While manager of Kiwi Distributing, Mike developed a passion for logistics and made the move to lead Condor Cargo in 2017. Condor handles the logistics of shipping freight around the world, including to New Zealand, and also works with its sister freight forwarding companies, ICS and AWA to move their freight via air and ocean. Mike would be happy help any fellow Kiwis ship products to and from the United States. It is always exciting to meeting people from home and sharing in their story of what brought them to the United States.
About: Ashleigh is from Otautahi and now lives in Southern California. She is an adventurer, transformer, and thrill seeker. Her favorite Kiwis cuisine includes fish and chips and lamb roast, plus mince pies. And she’s mad about Corgi’s.

About: Born in Switzerland but raised in Wellinton, Sara moved back to Europe after studying Languages at Victory University. She has lived in Illinois, Singapore and now San Diego. Sara has three children aged 7, 10 and 16, along with her English bulldog Louie (the 4th child!) Sara would love to get back to Aotearoa once a year to see the whanau there, and would also enjoy meeting other Kiwis far from home now they are settled here in Southern California.

About: Journalist and author Christina Hoag was born in Oamaru and grew up in Lower Hutt, Sydney and New Jersey, She is the author of Skin of Tattoos, a literary thriller set in Los Angeles’ gang underworld (Martin Brown Publishers, August 2016) and Girl on the Brink, a romantic thriller for young adults (Fire and Ice YA/Melange Books, August 2016). She is a former reporter for the Associated Press and Miami Herald and worked as a correspondent in Latin America writing for major media outlets including Time, Business Week, Financial Times, the Houston Chronicle and The New York Times. She is the co-author of Peace in the Hood: Working with Gang Members to End the Violence, a groundbreaking book on gang intervention. She lives in Santa Monica.

About: After 40 years working for the New Zealand dairy industry, Brian and his wife, Miriam, have now retired to Southern California after obtaining Green Cards in 2016. Brian’s career was mainly in sales, exporting and management, and he has lived and worked in various countries, including Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico (twice), Venezuela, and Japan. Since retiring, Brian has done a little bit of pro-bono mentoring, and is trying to learn how to play golf while enjoying the travel adventures that the world offers.
